After months of leaks, rumors and speculation, Apple has today made the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus official at its special event in Cupertino, California. Announced on stage by Apple's Tim Cook, the iPhone 6 is the latest iteration in the iPhone series and for only the second time in its history it's getting bigger - twice!
"Today we are launching the biggest advancement in the history of the iPhone"
As rumored much before the event there are two sizes, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inches. The smaller phone has a 1334x750 resolution display while the iPhone 6 Plus has a full HD, 1920x1080 display for a ppi of 326 and 401 respectively. The iPhone 6 is 6.9mm thick while the iPhone 6 Plus goes up just slightly to 7.1mm.
Round the back the camera protrudes slightly from the body, while round front on the iPhone 6 Plus it looks like the icons are a little more spaced out. It'll come in silver, gold and black.
